Clinical Assessment of Skills and Competencies (CASC):

A clinical exam assessing practical skills and communication. Candidates need to have 30 months of post-foundation/internship experience in psychiatry to take the exams.

To apply, complete the online application form on the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ website. The CASC online assessments have limited spaces and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Be aware of application deadlines and ensure all details are completed within the specified window. The MRCPsych exams are held at various times throughout the year, with specific dates for each diet.

Cost

The fees for the MRCPsych exams vary based on trainee status and location. For instance:

Paper A: £551 (PMPT Trainees and Affiliates), £612 (Non-PMPT Trainees and Affiliates).

Paper B: £496 (PMPT Trainees and Affiliates), £550 (Non-PMPT Trainees and Affiliates).

CASC (UK): £1,096 (PMPT Trainees and Affiliates), £1,218 (Non-PMPT Trainees and Affiliates).

CASC (Singapore): £1,422 (PMPT Trainees and Affiliates), £1,580 (Non-PMPT Trainees and Affiliates).

Validity Period Extension:

If you need to extend your validity period, refer to the guidelines provided by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
